42 PRAGUE CELEBRATES THE START OF THE CORE CURRICULUM, AND ENABLES STUDENTS TO RECEIVE A HIGH EDUCATION EQUIVALENT CERTIFICATE

On the 9th of January 2023, 42 Prague is going to kick-off its core curriculum together with 129 students, as well as partners and friends of the school. The event will take place on the campus of 42 Prague and will host discussions on IT, learning and innovation with representatives of Škoda Auto, 42 Network, Trask, ČSOB, Digiteq, Deloitte, Czechitas, SAP and Microsoft.

After its launch in 2022, 42 Prague conducted two month-long selection bootcamps where top 300 out of over 2000 applicants had an opportunity to compete for a place in the school, going through tens of hours of coding experience, peer-to-peer learning and problem solving. A few weeks into the selection bootcamp, applicants say: “I was not expecting to learn so fast! I absolutely love it here, the team, the place, the system works for me and I enjoy it”, “It was a magical and life changing experience that changed me in ways that not all of them are currently visible for me, definitely would recommend to anyone”. The selected 129 top bootcamp performers will start their official study journey at 42 on January 9th.

As a part of the pilot program created by Ecole 42 in France, the students of 42 Prague will now be able to receive a certification “IT Solutions Designer and Developer”, title certified in the RNCP (Répertoire national des certifications professionnelles) under RNCP 36135, equivalent of Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), as well as “IT Architecture Expert”, equivalent to Level 7 (RNCP 36137) in accordance with the EQF. The EU developed the EQF as a translation tool to support cross-border mobility of learners and workers, promote lifelong learning and professional development across Europe, and to simplify the recognition of upskilling training in the hiring process.

To celebrate 42 Prague starting its core curriculum for the first time and the effort applicants put into the selection process, we are gathering for the Curriculum Kick-off event where we are looking forward to:

After the inauguration, students will depart into a tuition-free multiple-year journey to become full-stack developers, learn about the tech industry from top professionals and test their skills during internships.

42 Prague is a tuition-free coding school founded by Škoda Auto. We challenge the traditional learning model and provide an industry-leading education for free with no teachers, classes or books. It is supported by co-founding partners: Trask, Green:Code, CSOB, Microsoft, and a broad network of partners that include Deloitte, Digiteq, Czechitas and more. At the start of the academic year, 42 Prague welcomes SAP as another partner supporting the school.
